After hosting a Hanukkah celebration at the White House on the first evening (last Thursday) of the 8-day Jewish holiday, President Trump shared a Christmas greeting on behalf of First Lady Melania and the entire Trump family on Saturday. In it, he thanked God for sending His Son to redeem the world. I pray President Trump has put his trust in that Redeemer, don’t you!
I find it comforting that our President (unlike some before him) not only chooses to state “Merry Christmas” boldly, but also to acknowledge and honor the Judeo-Christian heritage of our nation. Throughout history, men in the White House have acknowledged God, some to a greater degree than others, but it is a rare case in which a President invokes the Name of Jesus and acknowledges His redeeming power. For that, I am grateful.
I was not able to find a clean cut solely of the President’s greeting, but fast forward to the 1:13 mark, then listen to the end, as the Marine band and choir also acknowledge Christ as Lord!
Friends, check back tomorrow to find out why President Trump and and what he stands for are so important in Bible prophecy.
