Let Us go Up to the Mountain of the Lord!

And it will come about in the last days
That the mountain of the house of the Lord
Will be established as the chief of the mountains.
It will be raised above the hills,
And the peoples will stream to it.
Many nations will come and say,
“Come and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord
And to the house of the God of Jacob,
That He may teach us about His ways
And that we may walk in His paths.”
For from Zion will go forth the law,
Even the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.

~Micah 4:1-2

Hi friends! We’re only days away from the EXPERIENCE ISRAEL Tour and it is very difficult to contain the excitement! Our group is ready and their excitement is contagious!

I am reminded of two prophets who spoke almost verbatim about the Lord establishing the mountain of the house of the Lord (Jerusalem) in the last days. Both Micah (quoted above) and Isaiah (in Isaiah 2:1-3) indicate that people will stream from many nations to the house of the Lord, and He will teach us His ways, that we might walk in His path.

Those passages are referring to the Millennial Kingdom, which occurs after the rapture and the tribulation. However, to get a small glimpse….a foretaste…of that future event is thrilling. Indeed, crowds from all nations stream to Jerusalem today, and being in the Land and hearing God’s Word taught there is incredibly impacting. Yet, it doesn’t hold a candle to what it will be like in that day when Jesus physically returns to establish His kingdom on earth for 1,000 years! (After which, we spend all eternity in His presence!)

Depending upon available time, I hope to post updates of our experience in Israel, as we not only see the sites, but also engage the culture in very meaningful and significant ways. We’ll visit a factory in the West Bank where Jews and Palestinians work happily side-by-side (you won’t hear that on the news!). We’ll visit a home for Holocaust survivors where we’ll hear their stories and share the love of Jesus with them. We’ll spend time with Arab, Palestinian and Messianic Jewish pastors and followers of Yeshua (Jesus). We’ll visit an IDF base and engage with soldiers. We’ll also stand on the Golan Heights, peering across the border and praying over Syria and Lebanon.

All of those things, in addition to seeing some newly-excavated discoveries, as well as the major sites important to us as Christians. Our days will be full, and my prayer is we will be filled spiritually as well! Pray for us, that we might have eyes and ears to see and hear all the Lord has for us as we go up to the mountain of the Lord!

Also, follow along. I’ll do my best to keep you informed!
