Here we go, my friends! We’re focusing on a fourth great covenant as we move toward the end of our study: the Davidic Covenant. (Be sure to review the first 3 parts of this week’s study to gain the context of where we are headed today!)

The three covenants we’ve studied (Abrahamic Covenant, Mosaic Covenant and New Covenant) are all essential to our salvation, and collectively they usher us into the fourth great covenant: the Davidic Covenant.

The Bible tells us a new kingdom is coming! It is a kingdom made up of a worldwide family, all of whom have entered into covenant relationship with God! Romans 10:11-13 describes the scenario in which there is no distinction between Jews and Gentiles! Once we enter the covenant relationship with God, there is no difference!

As believers, we are part of that new kingdom, and it has at least three other descriptive names:

  • Davidic Covenant (Covenant of Triumph)
  • Millennial Kingdom (Millennium)
  • Feast of Tabernacles

This kingdom originates when the King of Kings…Jesus Himself…returns to earth physically, riding a white horse (symbolic of a conquering king). We will be with Him, and will reign with Him for 1,000 years (a millennium)! (Revelation 5:9-10, 2 Timothy 2:12, Revelation 20:6)

Not only will He come to reign, but the nations will come to celebrate at the Feast of Tabernacles! Note this promise from Zechariah 14:16:

Yes, all will go up to Jerusalem year after year to worship the King! That will occur after the rapture, after the tribulation, and after Jesus returns physically to the earth!

Time is near and God will fulfill His promises to His people! There are two very important promises that we will discuss tomorrow as we wrap up our study together. Be sure to join us for the finale!
