You know how to analyze the appearance of the earth and the sky, but why do you not analyze this present time?

Jesus spoke those words to the multitudes, after uttering the same to the Pharisees in Matthew 16:3. In doing so, He was admonishing them to know and understand the times. Jesus Himself was among them, yet they failed to recognize His first coming as the Messiah.

Today, we live in an “intelligent” society…we know a lot about a lot of things. (Or at least we think we do!) However, as intelligent as we are, society seems to be missing the obvious: Jesus is coming back again soon. Will we fail to recognize the signs of His second coming, just as the religious leaders and multitudes failed to recognize the obvious?

That is the premise of a new 4-week study called Understanding the Times. We will answer the question, “Why is it important to understand the times?” before studying to understand the past, present and future, from a Biblical perspective.

As we navigate these last days, it is critically important to understand the time and season in which we live.
