Oh, the words of Jesus sooth our troubled hearts, don’t they!  It seems our world has taken another spin toward insanity this week as we witnessed evil and hatred in Charlottesville, veiled anti-Semitism in Chicago, terrorism in Barcelona, and a president who seemingly has not figured out how or when to keep his mouth shut!

Friends, we live in a world of chaos and, according to Scripture, we can predict that it will get no better until the King of Kings comes again!  But, good news dear friends: He is coming soon!

On this Lord’s Day, I want to join together in moments of reflection on a special promise that Jesus spoke to His disciples, and that we can latch on to in these distressful days.  Earlier this week Pastor Mark (Calvary Community Church, Phoenix AZ) posted a couple of short devotionals, and I think it is time we all stop for a moment and meditate on this promise!  Please sit down, clear your mind, and just soak in Jesus’s words.  There are blessings in it for each of us!
