Decision America Tour: Maine, Vermont, New York

From the Great Northwest to the far Northeast, the Decision America Tour moves on!  Faithfully, Franklin Graham is making his way to every single state capital in our nation, encouraging Americans to faith at home, in public and at the ballot box.  If you haven’t done so, please go to the website linked above and sign the prayer pledge.  If our country is ever to be a beacon of light once again, it will require Christians to fight the battle on our knees!  Won’t you join us?

This week Franklin Graham will be in Maine, Vermont and New York.  If you live in those states, please join the rally at your state capital.  The rest of us will join in prayer from afar.

Tuesday, August 23, 2016: Augusta, Maine

  • Maine is one of the least religious states in America, with 31% of residents reporting they were atheist, agnostic or of no faith.
  • Only 17% of the population believe in evangelizing.
  • 1 in 4 adults have been diagnosed with clinical depression.
  • 1 in 7 high school students seriously considered or made a plan to commit suicide.

“Lord of heaven’s armies, please defeat the forces of darkness that have convinced people there is no God and life isn’t worth living.  Father, we understand why life without You leads some to depression.  Teach us all how valuable we are as Your prized possession.  Please reveal Yourself in supernatural, powerful ways so that all would believe.  Bless public schools with Godly resources to help young people understand their worth in You.  Father, we are so lacking without You, yet so fulfilled with You.  May truth reign in Maine and throughout the US.”

Wednesday, August 24, 2016: Montpelier, Vermont

  • 59% of Vermont’s population are unchurched.
  • 62% believe that good works will get them to heaven.
  • Most of the population disagree that they have a responsibility to evangelize.

“In the name of Jesus, we ask Your mercy and grace upon Vermont.  Father, not only do the majority of Vermont residents miss the blessing of fellowshipping together, it appears those who do are deceived by doctrines of “works.”  Lord Jesus, You died to save us from sin, and there is nothing we can do to work our way to heaven.  May the Gospel be taught straight-forward and powerfully in Vermont, and may believers come to understand that the full price has been paid!  The Gospel message is powerful to save, and powerful to light the fires of revival.  We pray for the Lord, asking You to spark a flame that cannot be quenched.  We need You across our land, so please light the fire in Vermont and send it nationwide!”

Thursday, August 25, 2016: Albany,  New York

  • In 2009-2010, New York was one of the Top 10 states for drug abuse among persons ages 12 and older.
  • New York is the sixth most unchurched state in the nation.
  • It’s estimated that as many as 800 languages are spoken in New York City.

“Father God, how we thank You that language is no boundary for You!  You transcend it all and are able to “speak our language,” regardless of what language it is!  We ask You to speak supernaturally to churched and unchurched alike.  Revival begins with believers, so speak to us…encourage us…exhort us to reach out to the unchurched.  It is a common theme…so many unchurched people in a nation founded on Christian principles.  Lord have mercy on us!  We confess walking away from You and Your ways, and we acknowledge that many turn to drugs and other things in attempts to fill a void only You can fulfill.  Forgive us Lord…and draw all to saving knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, in whose great name we pray.”
