As I look at world events today, I am more and more convinced that Israel stands alone today.  The Middle East certainly doesn’t stand with them.  Russia doesn’t stand with them.  Europe doesn’t stand with them.  The US doesn’t stand with them.

Of course arguments can be made, but I think it is safe to say that Israel has very few faithful allies.  Scripture tells us (Joel 3:2) that all the nations on earth will enter into judgment before the King of Kings one day.  Each will answer to how they treated Israel, and all will fail the Israel test.

However, as believers, our citizenship is not of this world!  Philippians 3:20 says:

But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ

Yes, dear believers, our nations may fail, but the “nation” of believers stands with Israel unconditionally!  We need to practice doing so while we live here on this alien planet!
