Muslims Seek Christ, While Christians (and others) are Persecuted

Despite the darkness in our world, a Great Light is shining!  Jesus Christ is the Light of the worldand a great revival is happening in dark places.  We pray (as we should) for revival in our land, but we must not lose sight of the fact that revival fires are burning in the Middle East and our Lord Jesus Christ is drawing those in the Muslim world to Himself!

The prophet Isaiah spoke the Word of God when he wrote:

The people who walked in darkness
    have seen a great light;
those who dwelt in a land of deep darkness,
    on them has light shone.
~Isaiah 9:2

So, where is the evidence of great revival happening in Muslim-dominated areas?  Hormoz Shariat (the “Billy Graham of Iran”) has been sharing evidence for years. David LeCompte, who has worked for decades in the Muslim world, has often shed light on the revival happening in the Middle East.  Now, an actual study reveals that at least 10 million Muslims have accepted Christ since 1960!

We don’t hear that on the news, do we!?!  But as believers, we should rejoice!  Those truly in search of the One True God will ultimately find Him…and He is drawing them.

Meanwhile, Open Doors reports that 2015 was the worst year ever for persecution of Christians.  For the 14th consecutive year, North Korea sits atop that list, but the remaining 9 of the top 10 worst offenders are Muslim-dominated countries.

In the midst of darkness, a Bright Light shines, and is now shining in and through millions throughout the Middle East.  I am reminded of Jesus’ words in Matthew 5:14-16, when He “transferred” His light through His followers:

“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”

Let’s pray that those who have seen the Great Light will have courage and strength to let their light shine brightly in a very dark world.  Let’s pray, also, for the multitude of Christians (and others) who are falling victim of the genocidal ideology and actions of radicals who brutally murder those who do not agree with their apocalyptic, Islamic theology.

These are signs of the times, and we must be prepared for the coming days.  Are you ready?
