Welcome back friends!  If you are following along with our Jewish history series, stay tuned…we’ll get back to it tomorrow!

I’ve jumped on board Franklin Graham’s Decision America Tour 2016, in which he will visit the capital of every state in America to encourage believers to live out their faith, including at the ballot box.  It is time for Christians to rise up and take back a nation that was founded on Christian principles.

I hope you’ll join also.  It’s easy to do.  Click on the link above to see a schedule of tour stops.  Information about each state is found by clicking on the appropriate link.  Use that information as a basis of prayer for that state.  When Franklin visits your state, why not meet him at the state capital and pray with believers from around your state.

For each stop of the tour, I will briefly share information about those states, and will encourage us all to pray accordingly.  The tour is in Florida today and Louisiana tomorrow.

Tuesday, January 12, 2016: Florida

• One average, there is one violent crime every 5 minutes and 46 seconds in Florida.
• Florida ranks near the bottom of states when it comes to residents who pray to God.
• Only 36% reported reading the Bible in a given week.

“Father God, we are in great need of understanding Your value of life.  Please bring reconciliation rather than killing.  Bring love instead of violence.  Father, we have forgotten You and cease to pray to You.  Please send a hunger for Your Word, and re-introduce Yourself in clear, vivid ways to the people of Florida.  Draw them to seek You, to know You, and to pray to You.  Lord, give favor to candidates who love You and will commit to You, and move on the hearts of Floridians to vote for a Josiah in each position of government.”

Wednesday, January 13, 2016: Louisiana

• Almost 50% of children in Louisiana live in single-parent homes, the second highest in the nation.
• The state has the highest homicide rate in the nation.
• 52% of the people read the Bible.

“Lord of glory, send Your Spirit upon Louisiana.  Father, heal marriages and bring security to the children of Louisiana.  You are a Father to the fatherless, yet kids need Your love to pour through an earthly father.  Grow the men of Louisiana to be men of God who lead their families.  Lord, stop the killing.  Replace anger with hope, and grant wisdom in place of rage.  Cause the people of Louisiana to hunger and thirst for Your Word so they come face-to-face with the Living Word!  Prepare the people of Louisiana to go to the polls fully aware of which candidates will guide them in the ways of righteousness…and get them to the polls to vote.”
