Hi gang! Are you able to catch bits and pieces of the Feast of Tabernacles celebration from Jerusalem? What an incredible sight to see people from dozens of nations from around the world come together in praise and worship of the One True God…the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob! The Bible tells us that one day all nations will go up year after year to worship the Lord Almighty at the Feast of Tabernacles! (Zechariah 14:16) Imagine that day! (Read here how Jesus is the fulfillment of every Jewish feast!)
Meanwhile, though we await the ultimate redemption by our Lord Jesus Christ, we live in an imperfect world. In a little more than a year, Americans will go to the polls to elect a new president and many Congressional, state and local leaders. Will our new leaders lead us down a path of righteousness (as Josiah did), or will we sink further and further into the abyss of evil and unrighteousness? My heart longs for solid, moral leadership from someone who understands the times and knows what we should do. (1 Chronicles 12:32)
But, just what is important this election season? What should be our guiding light as we look for the right people in leadership? I believe Biblical principles should guide us, and that we should vote according to our Christian values. Friends, now is the time to begin evaluating the candidates to see who holds to Biblical values and morals as we do.
Just this past weekend the 2015 Values Voter Summit took place and many conservative leaders and presidential candidates had the opportunity to share their thoughts and values. I encourage you to begin evaluating our future leaders by taking the time to listen to some or all of them on the Values Voter Summit website. Be a well-informed voter when elections come around, by listening carefully to what these men have to say, and by being diligent to understand each candidate’s position on vital moral issues.
The next election may be the most important election in the history of the US. Our world is spinning out of control and we need Godly leaders who will lead and direct us in the right way.
