Did he really say that? Absolutely! Check it out here. The Times of Israel also posted several other despicable quotes by Iran’s Supreme Leader who continues to vow destruction upon Israel and the US.
While the US Congress debates whether or not to support the so-called “non-binding executive agreement” (Iran Nuclear Deal) here is what a Secure America Now poll reveals:
- Only 7% believe that Congress should approve a deal allowing Iran to inspect their own nuclear facilities (which the current deal allows)
- 78% oppose a deal that lifts sanctions and provides $100 billion that could be used to finance terrorism (which the current deal allows)
- Less than 25% believe President Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry are telling Americans all the facts (as opposed to only what they think will help the agreement pass through Congress)
- 54% say they will not vote for their Congressman again if they vote to support the deal
- (Find all poll results here.)
Amazingly, while the Iranian Supreme Leader blatantly spews evil in regard to Israel (“Little Satan,” in his words) and the US (“Great Satan”), and the American people oppose the agreement by a 2-to-1 margin, our government thinks it is not only okay, but desirable to negotiate and likely approve a nuclear deal with Iran.
As I have pondered these thoughts over the past weeks, a word keeps coming to my mind: darkness. Ephesians 6:12 says:
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.
Indeed, the forces of darkness are hovering everywhere! They hover in the thoughts and intentions of Iran’s leaders. They hover in the halls of Congress. They hover wherever they can get a foothold. Our struggle is against an invisible foe, and that foe is cloaked in darkness.
If you are in a dark room, what drives away darkness? Yes…light! Just flip the switch and darkness disappears! We must fight the forces of darkness with light…the Light of Jesus Christ!
Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, “I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.”
~John 8:12In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men. The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
~John 1:4-5I have come as Light into the world, so that everyone who believes in Me will not remain in darkness.
~John 12:46For God, who said, “Light shall shine out of darkness,” is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.
~2 Corinthians 4:6
Fellow believers, we have the greatest power ever bestowed upon mankind…the gift of Light living inside of us! We have power, so let’s shine the Light!
The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
~John 1:5“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.
~Matthew 5:14-16
Stand firm, my friends! As times get more and more turbulent and the evil forces of darkness seemingly grow stronger, we can be more and more assured that Jesus Christ is coming again. Until that day, we must be ready for His return because no one knows the day or hour. But we know the season, and time is running out! Be steadfast and courageous!
Blessings everyone…and thanks for stopping by!
