Republican presidential candidate, Mike Huckabee, visited Israel this week, including a stop in the West Bank.  Appearing in Shiloh, once the Biblical capital of Israel, Huckabee challenged every presidential candidate to visit all of Israel (including Judea and Samaria, known today as the West Bank) in order to show solidarity and unity with the Jewish people, and to express disgust with the Iran nuclear deal.  (Huckabee recognizes Judea and Samaria as part of Israel.)

Huckabee also met with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, though Israeli protocol is not to publish statements regarding meetings between Netanyahu and presidential candidates.  It is clear, however, that Huckabee is a strong supporter of Israel and her right to defend herself.  He is also opposed to a two-state solution, believing that the land belongs exclusively to Israel.  Most politicians disagree with Huckabee’s Biblical-based beliefs about Israel’s right to the land.

Huckabee is steadfastly opposed to the Iran nuclear deal and says that the $150 billion release of funds to Iran will undoubtedly fund terrorism.  The Jerusalem Post had this to say:

“Every rocket that flew out of Gaza last year had a postage stamp marked Iran on it,” he [Huckabee] said. The deal, he warned, provides “them with funding to do more of their nefarious work.”

It is still far too early to declare who the best presidential candidate is, but I continue to believe that there are top quality Republican candidates who stand strong with Israel, while also suggesting sensible plans for domestic policy.  As believers, it is our obligation to do our research of the candidates then to VOTE OUR VALUES during the next election.  Please join me in committing to do just that!  I believe God has been preparing, and will raise up a Josiah.  (Please read yesterday’s post!)  Let’s ask the Lord to reveal to us who that Josiah is, then let’s vote for him!

Come on, Christians…now is the time!  Blessings to all.
