At least to some degree, there are a few Arabs that understand the importance and legitimacy of Israel.  This past weekend I read two articles, both written by Arabs, touting the importance of the Jewish state.  I want to share those articles with you, but before I do, stop to consider an important question:  What would happen if Arabs and Israelis put down their weapons to pursue peace?

I believe it has been accurately stated that if Israel put down her weapons, there would be immediate attack by multiple Arab states.  If, on the other hand, the Arabs put down their weapons, there would be immediate peace!  The fact is, the majority of Arabs do not want peace…they want nothing less than the annihilation of Israel, and as a result, have wasted many years pursuing that goal rather than advancing the best interests of their own nations.  There is a very informative video produced by Prager University that emphasizes that truth.  You can view the video here.

However, there are two Arabs that seem to “get it,” at least to some degree.  Take a look at:

• If Israel Disappears, Others will Too, written by a Jordanian-Palestinian.  He states: “In short, if the day were to come when Israel falls, Jordan, Egypt and many others would fall, too, and Westerners would be begging Iran for oil.  We can hate Israel as much as we like, but we must realize that without it, we too would be gone.”

• I am a Zionist because I am an Arab, written by a Lebanese Arab now living in Canada.  In the article, he outlines his reasons for supporting Israel, and he quotes an Israeli Arab who says: “I want to say to all the Arabs of Israel to wake up. We live in paradise. Comparing us to other countries, to Arab countries – we live in paradise.”  To which the author added: “Sadly, we cannot all live in Israel, and even if we could, unless we change ourselves first, Israel would become one more failed Arab state.”

Why are Arabs so adamantly opposed to the existence of Israel?  It is not a political or a geographical issue…it is a spiritual one!  The God of Israel is God of all, and the spirit of antichrist is alive and well, and working through evil regimes throughout the Middle East to destroy God’s chosen land and God’s chosen people.  Let’s pray that the God of Israel will enable Arab people to see through the deceit.  Believe it or not, many Arabs are seeing visions and dreaming dreams where our Lord Jesus Christ is making Himself known!  (Hear testimonies of that from Hormoz Shariat of Iran Alive.)
