Is the Gaza Strip the Next ISIS Foothold?

With a strong presence in Iraq and Syria, and a growing presence in Libya, Tunisia and Yemen, could ISIS now have its sights set on the Gaza Strip?  In a recent video message to the “tyrants of Hamas,” ISIS militants threatened to “uproot” Hamas in the Gaza Strip, and ultimately overrun Israel.

ISIS views Hamas as weak and incapable of imposing sharia law, and vows to do so “in spite of them.”  Though each terrorist group has ambitions of overtaking Israel, they do not share the same ultimate goals.  ISIS wishes to engage in a global war in which they intend to establish a worldwide caliphate.  At least currently, Hamas’s goal is to destroy Israel and establish a Palestinian state.

As has been shown in the past, however, warring terrorists groups will ultimately join forces in battle if the common enemy is Israel!  Should ISIS storm the Gaza Strip and topple Hamas rule, you can be certain that they will work together in efforts to wipe Israel off the map.

Since the birth of Israel on May 14, 1948, Israel’s neighbors have consistently rattled the sabres and, at times, have attacked Israel.  Each time, the Lord’s hand has proven faithful in defense of His chosen land and His chosen people!  Israel’s Iron Dome defense system is definitely impressive, but here is an interesting perspective on the true Israeli defense system:
