Will Iran Save Us from a Bad Nuclear Deal?

Ironically, Iran and its Supreme Leader could save the US and other world powers from a very bad nuclear deal!  According to tweets and reports of a speech by Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, he has made the following statements in recent days:

  • “We will not sign any agreements unless on the first day of the implementation of the deal all economic sanctions are totally lifted on the same day.”
  • “What has been done so far does not guarantee an agreement, nor its contents, nor even that the negotiations will continue to the end”
  • “Hours after the talks, Americans offered a fact sheet that most of it was contrary to what was agreed.”
  • (See “…it is too early to congratulate,” and “Nuclear Framework no Guarantee of a Deal.”)

In fact, an Israeli expert finds at least 6 key “framework” issues disputed by Iran. Not surprisingly, their interpretation of the framework agreement is much different than the fact sheets put out by the US, and by France.

The fact is that the negotiating teams, headed by US Secretary of State John Kerry (abiding by President Obama’s mandates), have literally given Iran everything they want over a period of time.  Eventually (within 10-15 years or less) Iran will have all sanctions lifted and will have full ability to produce nuclear weapons with no prohibitions or those “pesky inspectors” (who they have denied access to anyway).  Iran has very overtly stated that they want to wipe Israel off the map, and that they wish death to America.  Their intentions are crystal clear.  The problem is that they want to fulfill their mission sooner than later.

So, the $64,000 question is this:  Will American leadership fully cave to the destructive demands of the Iranian regime, or will they stand on what little thread of hope there is in preventing Iran’s nuclearization?  Better yet:  Will Iran’s zeal actually cause the deal to fall apart, thus saving us from a bad nuclear deal?

Stay tuned…the next supposed deadline is June 30, 2015. Our best hope may be that Iran kills the deal!
