In what many see as a fitting illustration of US-Israeli relations, American Secretary of State John Kerry will be engaged in negotiations with Iran regarding a nuclear deal while Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is addressing a US joint session of Congress regarding the threat of a nuclear Iran. It doesn’t get any more messed up than that!
Neither Israel, the US, nor the world will benefit by Iran having nuclear capability. The Satanic, genocidal Iranian regime vows to wipe Israel off the map, and they don’t plan to stop there. Need we be reminded that Iran will partner with Russia in the prophetic invasion described in Ezekiel 38? Need we be reminded that Iranian radicals, led by Ayatollah Ali Hosseini Khamenei and President Hassan Rouhani, believe that Allah has called them to bring about the last days and the return of the Islamic messiah by bringing about chaos and killing infidels? Need we be reminded that Iran (Shia) and ISIS (Sunni) are two branches of the same radical Islamic tree?
If you have yet to hear Marco Rubio’s speech to fellow Congressmen regarding the importance of standing with Israel, please take some time to view it here. Then, will you commit to pray fervently between now and Netanyahu’s address to Congress at 10:45am (Eastern time) on Tuesday? Pray for reconciliation between the Obama administration and the Netanyahu administration. Pray for clarity and grace as the Prime Minister speaks…that he will speak the truth about the Iranian nuclear threat with words seasoned with grace. Pray for the eyes of our leadership to be opened to the critical need to stand firm with Israel, the only democracy in the Middle East, and our greatest ally. Pray that God will confuse, and even thwart, the negotiations between world powers (led by the US) and Iran, so that Iran is not capable of reaching nuclear capability.
The issue of radical Islam is huge…and the battle cannot be fought solely on the battlefields. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). Believers, our hope is in the Lord Jesus Christ, and He has already won the victory. Faithful soldiers bring that victory to fruition by bowing before the Victor’s throne. Join me in the battle, won’t you?
