In the midst of an Obama speech to a group of students at the Federal Trade Commission on cyber security, ISIS hacked into Twitter and YouTube accounts at the Pentagon.  “AMERICAN SOLDIERS, WE ARE COMING, WATCH YOUR BACK. ISIS,” was tweeted via the US CENTCOM feed.  An additional message read, “We won’t stop! We know everything about you, your wives and children.”

Whether simply spouting off, or serious about attacks, ISIS is growing progressively bolder and more antagonistic.  I am no advocate for fear, as I know of the Lord’s faithfulness to sustain those who trust in Him (whether in life or in death).  However, the fact remains that, unless world leaders take a strong position against ISIS and take measures to stop them, we can expect continued threats and, eventually, terrorist activity within our own cities.

These, too, are birth pangs.  Our world groans (as Scripture says it will) leading up to the return of Christ.  Believers, pray for world leaders, and pray for the salvation of multitudes.  Our leaders face difficult decisions as the dark forces of Satanic evil reign in our world.  Those forces are defeated only by the greater supernatural forces of heaven’s angels doing battle in the heavenlies.

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God,so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.

Be strong in the Lord, saints!  Jesus is coming for us soon.  Meanwhile, pray that many will come to know the loving grace of our Savior!
