Since the beginning of October, at least three European nations have very clearly turned against Israel by pledging their support to a “State of Palestine” to be gained, not via negotiations with Israel, but through unilateral movement at the UN. Behind the smoke screen of a “two-state solution,” the goal of the Muslim Arab world is not that the Palestinians would have a land alongside Israel. Their desire is a one-state solution whereby an Arab state REPLACES Israel!
Though Israel has, on various occasions, offered land to the Palestinians in exchange for peace, the Palestinians have consistently shunned the offers in favor of terrorism and warfare against Israel. Despite recognizing Hamas as a terrorist organization, many nations (including the United States) continue to provide support to them. The United Nations continues to turn a blind eye to rockets launched toward Israel, but condemns the Jewish state for protecting herself.
Now, after refusing to negotiate with Israel, the Palestinian Authority (still in unity government with Hamas) is seeking statehood via the United Nations. Currently, over 70% of UN nations support Palestinian statehood. The latest nations to jump on the bandwagon are these European states:
- Sweden
- France
- Great Britain (To their credit, Great Britain parliamentarian, David Burrowes, believes it is a mistake and fellow parliamentarian, Mike Freer, resigned because of it.)
Could the US be far behind? Unfortunately, probably not. Obama has consistently pressured Israel toward peace plans that would leave Israel unable to defend herself. In the end, Israel will stand alone as a nation. As Christians, it is our obligation to stand with Israel until the rapture takes us out of here. At that point, the Lord of heavens armies will come to her defense! Indeed, He has always been on Israel’s side, and will continue to be throughout all eternity!

Let Israel now say,
“Had it not been the Lord who was on our side
When men rose up against us,
Then they would have swallowed us alive,
When their anger was kindled against us;
Then the waters would have engulfed us,
The stream would have swept over our soul;
Then the raging waters would have swept over our soul.”Blessed be the Lord,
Who has not given us to be torn by their teeth.
Our soul has escaped as a bird out of the snare of the trapper;
The snare is broken and we have escaped.
Our help is in the name of the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth.
