Signs of Ezekiel 38…and Israel Will Stand Alone

Hi all…and welcome back!

The Lord continues to bring me back to Ezekiel 36-39, impressing upon me the fact that Israel is indeed back in their land, as of May 14, 1948.  Thus fulfilling the prophecy of Ezekiel 36-37.  The very next chapter describes an invasion of Israel from the north, led by Russia and Iran, and Ezekiel 39 prophesies the destruction of those invaders by the Lord Himself.

We see that northern coalition forming today.

In addition, we know that Israel will stand totally alone in that day, dependent upon no one other than the Mighty God of Israel!  Indeed, God will come to her rescue!   (Ezekiel 38:17-39:16, among other passages of Scripture, tell us that!)

What I find interesting, though, is that the secular world is seeing and reporting on things that the Bible said over 2000 years ago would happen!  Israeli journalists are also reporting on those things.  I thought you might enjoy When Israel stood alone by Marc Goldberg.  He offers an interesting perspective on Israel’s military role with the UN, ISIS, Iran, and from what direction the battle will come!  Enjoy the article.

Finally, for another interesting insight into Israel standing alone during the last days, check out Amir Tsarfati’s Will Israel Stand Alone?

“Then they will know that I am the Lord their God because I made them go into exile among the nations, and then gathered them again to their own land; and I will leave none of them there any longer. I will not hide My face from them any longer, for I will have poured out My Spirit on the house of Israel,” declares the Lord God.    ~Ezekiel 39:28-29

God used Trump to make Jerusalem the capital of Israel in His TIMING, then with the defeat of Trump again in God’s TIMING allowed Biden to win the 2020 election to cause Israel to have to call on God once again , and not on their own strength. They will not be standing on their own but ,will recognize their Savior Jesus Christ. Now we need to recognize God’s TIMING in our lives. He is at the “DOOR!!!! AMEN!!!!

Israel will find themselves under siege by all the nations only in Zechariah 12, as far as I can find, and that passage describes “the valley at Megiddo,” meaning Armageddon. That is not the Gog and Magog war. In Ezekiel we find Israel attacked by those nations around them, but not all nations. Unless someone has a different passage in mind…? I too have been told this and even taught this for years. But now I see we have been wrong. Nothing says Israel will not have any help in the Gog and Magog War.

    1. Hi ddoylereynolds, and thanks for the comment. I agree with you that references to Armageddon and the war of Gog and Magog are two totally different events that happen at different times and include different sets of attackers. The valley of Megiddo (Armageddon) is the gathering place for the great war that will happen at the end of the tribulation when, as Zech 12:10 indicates, the house of David (Jews) will grieve and mourn “for the one whom they pierced.” There are actually 2 wars of Gog and Magog. The one referred to in Ez 38 is a soon-coming invasion of Israel by Russia, Iran, Turkey, areas of Sudan and Libya (all named by their ancient names in Ez 38:1-5). Later (verse 13), another list of those who will sit back and not be involve either on Israel’s behalf or against them are named. Though there is theological disagreement over whether or not the US is included in the “young lions” of that list, if so, we simply sit back and do nothing (or perhaps are not able to do anything). No one will stand with Israel in that conflict. However, God Himself will take up Israel’s cause (vv 18-23) and will thoroughly devastate Israel’s enemies.

(FYI – Jack Hibbs, Amir Tsarfati and other well-grounded teachers adhere to this. Here is just one example: https://looking4theblessedhope.com/2016/07/15/israel-stands-alone/)

Thanks for digging in with us, and I hope that helps! Your thoughts are always welcome. Blessings and shalom!
