Hello friends, and thanks for stopping by! Today I want to share from my heart, as it seems there is a growing burden among many for something very important the Lord wants us to understand.
News from the conflict in Gaza continues to pour in, and a huge part of my purpose is to share some of those events from a Biblical perspective, in order:
- To exhort the Body of Christ (believers in Jesus, the Messiah) to know and understand the season in which we live. (Matthew 16:2-3, Matthew 24:32-41)
- To exhort the Body of Christ to be ready for the coming of the Messiah (Jesus), which I believe is imminent (could happen any time). (Matthew 24:42-44, Matthew 25:1-13)
- To exhort the Body of Christ to be bold in sharing the truth of God’s Word. (2 Timothy 4:1-5)
So, focusing on that third objective, I want to emphasize this:
For God so loved THE WORLD, that He gave His only begotten Son,
that whoever believes in Him shall not perish,
but have ETERNAL LIFE.
~John 3:16 (Emphasis mine)
Dear friends, Jesus died for the sins of the WHOLE WORLD, so that the WHOLE WORLD might have ETERNAL LIFE. One must receive that free gift in order to have eternal life, and you can learn more about that at KNOW GOD.
But my purpose today is to emphasize that God loves the whole world. That means Jews, Arabs, Palestinians, Europeans, Africans, Persians, Asians…and yes, even Americans. But catch the point, dear ones. Unashamedly, I stand with Israel because the Word of God teaches that from Genesis to Revelation. However, if we are true Christ followers, we must love the world as Christ loves the world!
Believers, there are Palestinians in the Gaza Strip who do not like what Hamas is doing. There are people in the Gaza Strip who want the bombing on both sides to stop. Moreover, there are innocent citizens in Gaza who are either brainwashed or physically forced to stand as human shields for the evil cause of Hamas. The people are not the problem. Hamas and radical Islam are the problems!
So, I’m joining what I see as a wave of influential people, far wiser than I, who are calling for believers to see clearly through the evil intentions of Hamas to the people whom God loves, and to love them as Christ loves them. We are to pray for the people of Gaza, just as we pray for the people of Israel.
Now, lest you doubt that the Almighty God of the Universe views the people of the Middle East as anything other than very special, please see In Search of the One True God. It may challenge your thinking in ways you never dreamed possible.
Finally, NY Times best-selling author (and Middle East authority), Joel Rosenberg, says it better than I could ever begin to. Take a moment to read this post, as his burden seems to coincide with what I’ve shared here.
Yes, pray for the peace of Jerusalem…as well as the peace of Gaza City and the entire region!
