Current Event Update: Hamas Kidnappers Identified and Named, but Still at Large

A couple days ago, Israeli officials announced the names of the two Hamas terrorists believed to have kidnapped three Israeli youth 2 weeks ago.  The two abductors historically have attended prayer services regularly at the same mosque, but have not been seen either there or at their homes since the kidnapping.  Both have had run-ins with Israeli and Palestinian authorities in the past, and at least one is known to have family members who are very involved with Hamas terrorist activities.

To date, the IDF has arrested at least 400 Palestinians, many with connections to Hamas.  Some who were released in the exchange for Gilad Shalit (the Hamas-kidnapped soldier who was released in 2011) are among those arrested.  Concentrated efforts are underway to find and rescue the three Israeli teenagers.

What we are seeing is the chaos and violence perpetrated by a false religion that lacks any sense of value for human life.  Let’s pray diligently for the safe return of the three teenagers to their families, and for the peace of God to reign in the hearts and minds of everyone in the Middle East.
