He is Risen!

When the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James, and Salome, bought spices, so that they might come and anoint Him.  Very early on the first day of the week, they came to the tomb when the sun had risen.  They were saying to one another, “Who will roll away the stone for us from the entrance of the tomb?”  Looking up, they saw that the stone had been rolled away, although it was extremely large.  Entering the tomb, they saw a young man sitting at the right, wearing a white robe; and they were amazed.  And he said to them, “Do not be amazed; you are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who has been crucified. He has risen; He is not here; behold, here is the place where they laid Him.  ~Mark 16:1-6

Rejoice!  He is not here…He has risen!  Obviously, there was no door on the tomb in Jesus’ day, but the sign on the door today says it all:

We’ve been there, and now you’ve come with us!  Take a look…the tomb is empty!

Worship and communion in the Garden.

(A couple years ago it was rainy and much cooler!  But we sang and worshipped anyway!)

There is nothing like communion in the Garden…with an empty tomb as the backdrop!

Hallelujah…Christ Jesus is risen!  Our sins are forgiven and we’re free!

If you are reading this post and have never invited the Risen Lord to be your Savior, now is the time.  We live in a sin-cursed world and the Bible says that we took on a sinful heritage.  For ALL have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.  (Romans 3:23)  However, God loved the world so much that He gave His only Son (who was sinless) to die for us, so that we might have eternal life.  (John 3:16, 2 Corinthians 5:21)  If we simply believe in Him and call upon His name, we will be saved.  (Romans 10:9-10)  If you have never done that, please click on How to Know God for a clear explanation, as well as contact information if you wish to speak with someone.  This is literally the most important decision you will ever make.

I’ll share some final thoughts about the trip to Israel in a day or two, and will point this ship in a new direction, so check back for further updates!  Meanwhile, REJOICE because He is risen!
