When the hands and feet of Jesus reach into the darkness of personal need, the light of Jesus drives darkness away! In Nazareth and Haifa, the humanitarian work of Home of Jesus the King Church is a bright beacon of light over those cities and throughout Israel. Done in the name and love of Jesus, Pastor Saleem Shalash, his family and his congregation reach thousands of Israelis – both Jewish and Arab – with practical goods such as food, clothing, hygiene products, household goods and more.
As a result, people like Naseem are more than a “needy case.” They become family. Those who come to the center are Jewish immigrants primarily from Russia and Ukraine, poor Arab families, or those less fortunate and struggling to make ends meet. Some are religious, most are not. All are seen as precious in God’s sight.
Meet Naseem, one who has not only been helped, but has found a place of belonging…
We’ll keep helping, we’ll keep giving. As long as there’s an opportunity before the coming of Jesus Christ, we’re always ready to serve.
~Pastor Saleem Shalash
In only a couple days I will board a plane to Israel to lead back-to-back tours, and to provide opportunities for our tour guests to work alongside ministry leaders such as Pastor Saleem and others who are doing amazing work in the name of Jesus! We, too, will spread light that drives the darkness away!
You are invited to follow along as we not only see sites important to our Christian faith but also actively engage the people and the culture of Israel in meaningful ways. Along the way, we’ll roll up our sleeves and serve alongside both Jewish Messianic and Arab pastors. Come along with us on the journey!
