Sing to the Lord a New Song!

Happy Lord’s Day!

Today, we will worship Him with a new song, and one you will not know the words to unless you speak Hebrew! But here is some insight:

Israel is by no means a perfect country. Yet for 78 years since her rebirth, God has transformed that tiny nation from wanderers returning to the homeland to a mighty and prosperous land. Yet, not by the greatness and might of the people, but by the spirit and the will of God.

Every day there are enemies intent on wiping Israel from the face of the earth. Internally, the nation is torn politically and socially. Yet, the country has not only survived but prospered. How is that so? The song’s author believes it is a “generous portion of God’s grace.” He references Psalm 33, which calls the righteous and upright to give God thanks and praise.

That’s where this song leads us! Please take time to read Psalm 33, then worship as praise is offered in Hebrew! You may not know the words, but you can hear the heart of worship! Join with your own heart of worship as well!
