“Tell Me about the Rapture”

Recently I taught a Bible study called Why Israel Matters, and during the last class we skimmed through God’s plan of end times. The key point of the study was to understand that Israel matters because God chose Abraham and his descendants (Jews) to be the vehicle of world redemption…our means of salvation.

The diagram we used to illustrate God’s plan of the end very clearly showed that we are living in the Church Age, which will end with the rapture of believers. Soon after we get snatched away to meet Jesus in the air, the earth (and those left on our planet) will endure a horrific 7-year period called the tribulation. No one wants to go through that, and the only way to avoid it is to place our trust in Jesus Christ and invite Him into our lives.

The Rapture is that “snatching away” process prior to the tribulation that the Bible speaks of. Interestingly several random conversations outside the classroom setting have turned toward the end of time, and more than once someone has said, “Tell me about the rapture.” It is pure joy to do so!

For our sake here, though, Joel Rosenberg has actually recorded a video describing those details, so rather than reinvent the wheel, I will share his video with you. We’re told in Scripture to encourage one another with truthful words concerning Jesus’ coming for us. So, not only do I hope it answers questions you might have, but I believe it will bless you even if you already firmly grasp the details of the rapture! Be encouraged…and share it with friends!
