Happy Sunday, friends!
Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles), currently underway in the Jewish world, is the most festive of the seven major feasts God ordained for the Jewish people. Each of the seven points to Jesus the Messiah, but the Feast of Tabernacles is symbolic of the Millennial Kingdom when all distinction between Jews and Gentiles will be no more, and we will all stand together to worship the King of Kings!
Each year, when Jews celebrate this feast, it is a preview of what worship will be like in the Kingdom of God! It’s exciting, and we will likely hear voices and languages very different from our own. Somehow, God will meld them together in the most beautiful worship we can imagine.
Earthly worship honestly doesn’t hold a candle to heavenly worship, but until we can get there to experience it, earthly worship will have to do. Today, as Sukkot nears its conclusion for another year, let’s rejoice together….and perhaps even dance like David danced!
PS: The hostage release makes this Sukkot even more significant, particularly to those families who will celebrate the final day of the feast (Monday) receiving their loved ones safely back in Israel. Indeed, there will be singing and dancing in the Holy Land. Pray that the release goes smoothly and as planned.
