Welcome back, friends! As of this writing, the Israeli-Iranian ceasefire seems to be holding…at least for now. The Middle East is a volatile place, so peace is always tenuous, but let’s hope this one holds. As noted yesterday, This season of peace (should it actually hold) could bring some interesting evidence of God’s faithfulness.
Like a well-timed fountain of refreshing truth, One for Israel’s President, Dr Erez Soref, has reminded us that not only has God promised to protect the people of Israel, but He will keep His promises to the world as well.
While the boil of chaos in the Middle East has dwindled to a simmer and the madman of Tehran has been humbled, it is water to a thirsty soul to be reminded of the thwarted attempt by a previous power-hungry Persian madman (Haman) to rid the world of all Jews.

Despite his vicious attempt to rid the world of Jews, it was Haman himself who was hanged on his own gallows. Subsequently, the Jewish people were liberated from the Persian threat by King Cyrus who allowed them to return to their homeland.
Today, an interesting thing is happening in ancient Persia…modern-day Iran. The Spirit of God is moving in unimaginable ways and the Iranian people are now the oppressed at the hands of their own regime.
After being liberated by King Cyrus of Persia, is it now time for Israel to repay a favor and help the Iranian people be set free from their own oppressor? Only God knows the answer to the question and the ways in which it can be accomplished to His glory. However, here is a related story that may just blow your socks off!
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem….and for the freedom of God’s people everywhere. Even in Iran!
Taste and see that the Lord is good!
