We were given major clues yesterday, and at 3:00am Israel time on Friday morning, the proverbial handcuffs were removed, and Israel took action they deemed necessary. They launched attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities, military leadership, and key nuclear scientists.
We know that centrifuges were taken out, missile programs were severely damaged and key leaders, including Iran’s top commander, were killed. It is also known that Israeli strikes on Iran will continue in waves. There is plenty of up-to-the-minute, reliable news available via Amir Tsarfati’s telegram channel, as well as other media outlets. So, let’s consider the spiritual aspects of what we are witnessing.
First, it is important to understand this is a spiritual war, not a geopolitical one. Let me explain. Islam is anchored by two primary sects: Sunni Islam and Shia Islam. In short, the goal of Islam is to take over the world, but the two sects pursue the goal in different ways. Shia Islam, rooted in Iran, believes their god, Allah, has called them to “destroy the infidels” (anyone who disagrees with their theology).
The greatest “infidels” are Jews and Christians. Therefore, since the overthrow of the American-friendly Shah of Iran in 1979, the radical Iranian regime has labeled the US and Israel as “the Great Satan” and “the Little Satan,” respectively. Consistently, the Iranian regime and their followers shout, “Death to America, Death to Israel!” Why?
Because Islam is an evil religion diametrically opposed to Judaism and Christianity that goes all the way back to Isaac and Ishmael. The chasm will never be bridged, and just as oil and water will never mix, neither will Islam ever mix in peace with Judaism and/or Christianity. It is a spiritual battle, not a geopolitical one. Attempting to negotiate a geopolitical nuclear deal is pointless in a spiritual battle.
Secondly, the war is NOT with the Iranian people. As noted recently, God is moving in mighty ways in Iran! Acts 1 tells us that people of that region were present at Pentecost, and there is no doubt we will have Iranian brothers and sisters in heaven.
Iran, though, is led by a brood of vipers. Drug-crazed, demonic leaders who hate Israel and the God of Israel have vowed to wipe Israel off the map and then come after America. The people of Iran must be liberated from a regime who cares nothing about them and oppresses the masses.
As believers, it is our responsibility to pray for Israel, but don’t forget about the believers in Iran. The days ahead will be challenging, including potentially in the US. Iran will not back down quietly. Retaliatory strikes are expected in Israel, and terror cells in America could be unleashed. Stand strong, my friends…and pray as God’s Word commands.
Thank you for this
