Hi friends, today’s Christmas Eve encouragement does not originate with me. It is wonderfully stated, though, and I want to bless you with the words of Pastor Jack Hibbs. Carefully consider this Christmas Eve blessing:

Christmas is a day when most of us exchange gifts.

Some people rate how good a gift is by how expensive it is.

God's gift to you and me is the forgiveness of sins, and it was paid for by the very blood of Jesus. There is no costlier gift that you could ever receive.

Some people judge a gift by how practical it is.

Never has the world needed the gift of forgiveness and salvation more than it does right now. Jesus was sent at just the right time to meet a need that we could never meet on our own. There is no gift that we could ever need more than Jesus.

Some people determine the value of a gift by how personal it is.

If you were the only person on the face of the earth, would Jesus still have given His life to save you? Absolutely!

There is no gift more personal than God's gift of Jesus to you and me.

Jesus is the ultimate gift, and that's why we celebrate today.

May your Christmas be filled with the joy, peace, and love that Jesus alone can supply.
