America desperately needs to know what moderate Arab countries have known for decades. Will the new administration “catch on” and learn the lesson?

President-elect Donald Trump is wasting no time in selecting his White House staff, his Cabinet, and other high-ranking agency directors. Some picks are very controversial, but in general, he doesn’t seem to be messing around!

When it comes to Israel, I’m happy to see the nominations of Pete Hegseth as Secretary of Defense, Elise Stafanik as US Ambassador to the UN, and Mike Huckabee as US Ambassador to Israel. Those three are died-in-the-wool Israel-backers who will stand on the Biblical mandate to bless Israel.

Pete Hegseth is a solid believer who grew up in a Baptist home, appreciating and standing for Israel. A combat veteran, he led units in active combat in multiple arenas. He is also highly educated and very articulate. He has often commented on the need to support Israel as the only free democracy in the Middle East and America’s iron-clad ally.

Elise Stafanik took presidents of Ivy League schools to task for not only backing but perpetrating the violent “Free Palestine” rallies on America’s college campuses. She pulled no punches during scathing admonishment during Congressional hearings when she asked if calling for the genocide of Jews violates their university’s rules against bullying and harassment, yet got no response. She will undoubtedly stand arm-in-arm with Israel’s UN Ambassador (currently, the hawkish Danny Danon) in fighting for fairness toward Israel in the UN.

Mike Huckabee is a popular Christian, former pastor, former Governor of Arkansas, two-time presidential candidate, and lover of Israel who has led many trips (including American diplomats and Congressmen) to the Holy Land. He has been outspoken about Israel and is a true Zionist (one who believes in Israel’s right to the land of Israel). He will represent America’s best interests to Israeli diplomats, and in turn, will communicate Israel’s best interests to the US administration.

Each will be a great servant who will bless and appropriately support Israel. After years of allowing Iran to fund terrorist proxies, those terrorists threatening the very existence of Israel, and Islamic terrorists streaming across our southern border, it seems the cavalry will soon arrive!

Few are aware of the ultimate objective of Shia Islam (propagated by Iran): destroy the infidels. Those who are aware of that objective typically think it means ridding the world of Jews, but few understand that it also means eliminating Christians! “First the Saturday people, then the Sunday people” became an often-repeated statement following the 1967 Six-Day War and has grown in relevance as Islamic terrorism has advanced. We are watching that play out vividly across Europe and it is coming to America. We must address it now.

Let’s hope that ignorance toward radical Islamic terrorism is dispelled, and let’s pray that key officials in the Trump administration will follow through on promises to stand with Israel and stand against such terrorism in our own country.
