Prophetic Implications of the Trump Victory

As the election results sink in, it seems the world has taken a sigh of relief. Americans, apart from the radical left, seem hopeful of a better economy, safer borders, and anticipation of an end to the DEI/transgender madness that has ravaged our country. Foreign leaders offering congratulatory remarks to President-Elect Donald Trump seem to have a bit of pep in their step in hopes of greater stability in a world knocked from its axis.

But let’s peel back some layers and consider both the prophetic implications (in today’s post) and a troubling sign (in tomorrow’s post) coming out of this election as well.

On a spiritual level, one word comes to mind: mercy. Trump survived two assassination attempts and believes God spared him because He has a job for him to do. I can’t speak for God, but divine providence has certainly brought us to this point. Though we have squandered the blessings of God in America, I believe He heard the righteous pleas of a faithful remnant to grant grace and mercy to our land for another season. O, how I pray we make use of it!

But let’s jump into prophetic implications. Few can argue that Israel is the flashing beacon of the last days. Ezekiel 38 looms while the warnings of Mathew 24 and 2 Timothy 3 are loud and clear. Will we finally realize that it is time to wake up and live out our Christian faith as God commands? If so, the implications of the Trump victory could be glorious.

With Trump at the helm, restrictions of the Johnson Amendment will likely loosen, allowing pastors and non-profit ministries to breathe easier about speaking truth without fear of losing tax-exempt status, etc. But will pastors and leaders be bold enough to do so? (Bold pastors is a worthy thing to add to your prayer list!)

One of the more interesting implications of the Trump victory might be a breakthrough in the Muslim world. While Iran attempted to interfere in our elections by flooding propaganda en masse to Muslim voters to vote for Harris, Trump actually fared very well with the Muslim vote. Why is that?

The Middle East is in constant war. If Muslim countries are not ganging up on Israel, then they are battling one another. Sunni and Shia Muslims detest one another and fight ferociously. But many are tired of war. Some may come to America for jihadi purposes, but most come because there is peace and freedom in America. Could we see an open door of evangelism to the Muslim population? One thing for sure: it wouldn’t happen in a Harris administration, but the door could swing wide open if Christians are up to the task.

Finally, speaking of the Middle East, could it be that we will see a season of safety and security in Israel as prophesied in Ezekiel 38? Trump, the most pro-Israel president in history, has talked about ending the wars. Hamas and Hezbollah are, in large part, beaten down, and will definitely be defeated if restraints from the US government are removed. Israel’s latest attack on Iran destroyed their defense capabilities, leaving them totally naked against future attacks.

Not to mention, it was hardly a happy day for the Ayatollah when election results revealed Trump as the next US President. It was Trump whose sanctions on Iran all but took down the regime, only to have all sanctions removed by the Biden administration, leading to Iran’s heyday in funding terror proxies over the past 4 years. Those days will come to a screeching halt once Trump reimposes sanctions and takes the handcuffs off Israel to do what they need to do. (BTW, could the anticipation of American support have been the green light Netanyahu needed to fire Defense Minister Gallant, with whom he has been at odds from the beginning? Interesting….!)

So, the question is: Will a Trump presidency potentially lead to a sense of safety and security in Israel, as Ezekiel 38 predicts? Wouldn’t that be prophetic! And what a GREAT time for tourism to rebound in Israel! For the record, yes, I intend to go with or without a group in February 2025 to participate in humanitarian and ministry projects. (Interested? Email me at Looking4theBlessedHope.com.) Once the dust settles and Israel is back on her feet, I fully anticipate leading regular tours there again!

Indeed, the prophetic implications of the Trump victory could be very significant. That is an exciting thing! However, I see a troubling sign following the election as well. We’ll focus on that tomorrow! See you then!
