A Look Ahead at the Fall Feasts

With October approaching, focus of the Jewish people turns to the fall feasts of Israel. In Leviticus 23, God ordained 7 feasts and commanded his people to observe them. Each holds particular significance to the Jews, and as Christians, we see those feasts all point to the Lord. Ironically, the feasts also serve as God’s calendar, letting us know specifically where we are in God’s timeline for the end times. (Discover more here.)

Of the 7 feasts, 3 are grouped together in the spring, 1 stands alone in early-summer, and 3 more are grouped together in the fall. This year, all 3 fall feasts land in October. You can bet that the memory of last October’s Hamas massacre and the somber Yom Kippur feast will have Jewish people seeking God. Pray that they find the Messiah!

Meanwhile, well-respected journalist, Arlene Bridges Samuels, penned an incredibly informative and encouraging editorial, laying out the significance of this year’s fall feast season in light of the 1-year anniversary of the massacre. Enjoy!

Arlene suggests the following, and I concur. Please reach out to Jewish friends in one of these ways:

  •  Send a letter, card, or email with a compassionate message.
  • Attend an October 7 event that may be taking place near where you live.
  • Pray for Jews, who are a population of only 15 million people globally, including around 245,000 Jewish Holocaust survivors in more than 90 countries.
