Happy Sunday, my friends! If you follow, you know Sunday posts are focused on worship, devotion, and/or prayer. Today’s post does that, but in a different way.
I am a fan of Aaron Shust and his God-given song-writing ability, particularly when it comes to music focused on Israel and Israel’s Messiah. I was blessed to be in attendance when he debuted his now-famous song, Zion, in commemoration of Israel’s 70th anniversary, the US Embassy moving to Jerusalem, and throngs of Jews returning to their homeland. The crowd was in tears before erupting in thunderous applause in a crowded banquet hall that evening. His music has blessed me ever since.
Recently, Aaron sat down with Dr Erez Soref at One for Israel to talk about his trips to Israel during the midst of war, and the encouragement it is to Israelis. There are also personal nuggets to glean, so I believe you will be encouraged by this worshipful conversation. Please check it out…
Like Aaron, I feel a draw of the Holy Spirit to go to Israel to show solidarity and love to Israelis, and to be the hands and feet of Jesus. As you may know, our next tour is scheduled for February 2025, but overcoming the perception of danger is a bit too much for most who would like to go. Still, my sights are set on going alone, if necessary. (If you are interested in this solidarity journey, email me at Looking4theBlessedHope@gmail.com and I will explore the options.)
So, I’m asking you to pray with me and for me as I begin working out possible travel plans, where and how to serve, and logistically how to get from place-to-place. I’m seeking the Lord’s guidance, and I cherish your prayers.
