For decades, most American administrations, as well as others around the world, have talked about a two-state solution as the key to peace between Israel and the Palestinians. Several US presidents, anxious to leave an unprecedented legacy, were obsessed in becoming “the one” to forge peace through appeasement of unrealistic Palestinian expectations.
President Trump took a different track and accomplished what no others had when his administration brokered the Abraham Accords, focusing on peace between Israel and moderate Arab states, rather than with the Palestinians. Thus, the Biden administration was handed a golden opportunity to reel in the big fish, Saudi Arabia.
Instead, Biden immediately sided with Israel’s enemies by re-engaging Iran to re-open negotiations on a nuclear deal. In short order, he released sanctions, allowing billions of dollars to once again flow through Iran to…
You guessed it! Terrorist organizations, including Hamas, hell bent on destroying Israel. This, of course, perpetuates the “Palestinian cause.”
Let’s be clear: not every Palestinian in Gaza is a terrorist. However, every Palestinian associated with Hamas or Islamic Jihad is a terrorist, and they make up a significant percentage of the Gazan population.
Beyond that, Palestinians in general, are taught to believe that the land of Israel belongs to them. They are not interested in a two-state solution, which has been offered to them many times. They are interested in the land “from the river to the sea,” which is every bit of Israel! More than they want their own state, they want NO STATE for Jews!
Following the crush of the last Jewish revolt in 135AD, Roman Emperor Hadrian, in an attempt to totally humiliate the Jews, renamed Israel “Palestina,” harking back to Israel’s archenemies, the Philistines. From that point until the 1960’s, Palestine was Israel and Palestinians were Jews!
During the 1960’s, Arabs living in the land of Israel latched on to the term “Palestinian” and took it for their own. Since then, propaganda surrounding Palestinians has caused history to be rewritten, and Arabs living in Israel and Jordan took on the identity of Palestinians.
Thus, the Israel-Palestinian conflict, including rights to the land, has been ongoing throughout the decades. Need evidence? Here is what 28-year-old Benjamin Netanyahu had to say in 1978:
The Palestinian issue has been a long-standing one and has kept conflict burning in the Middle East. Will it ever be resolved? Certainly not through a two-state solution. Based on Scripture, we can be fairly assured Israel will always contend with evil.
We’ll focus on another source of Israel-hating evil tomorrow. Be sure to check in!
It is clear to me that the Palestinians lost their credibility long ago by engaging in murder, violence and terrorism against Israel. That being said, I personally oppose any movement that benefits the Palestinians and those same movements (example: college students who engage in pro-Palestine activities) are full of many supporters who have been brainwashed to support terrorists and attack Israel. They cannot tell the difference between right and wrong, and between good and evil.
I personally any movement that benefits Palestinians and I oppose the enemies of Israel. People living with the poison of political correctness and wickedness do not realize it is a mistake to empower Palestinians and the terrorist movements. I also noticed many young pro-Palestine believers are ignorant of the truth and facts that discredit their movement.
