In one of the most interesting days in all of history, people of many nations and languages gathered to hear the Gospel spoken by Peter. He likely spoke in Greek, the most common language of the day, yet everyone heard the message in their own language! How did that happen? It was a miracle…and the grand entrance of the Holy Spirit!

Today, every one of us should be thankful that, through the power of the Holy Spirit, the message of Jesus Christ spread around the globe! It was revolutionary, and Pentecost, which we celebrate on the Christian calendar today, is the commemoration of that incredible day. (On the Hebrew calendar, Pentecost will fall on June 11-13.)
