We talked about it in this morning’s post, and we return to the same issue plaguing the world (even Christians): deception! If you haven’t noticed, it is everywhere, and we have talked about it regularly. We must get used to it because it is Satan’s game, yet we must not succumb to it because it is all a lie!

So many side (consciously or unconsciously) with Satan and his lies rather than the truth of God’s Word. Believers, we must cling to it with every ounce of strength! The Bible is attacked on many fronts, but Israel is at the tip of the spear these days. That should not come as a surprise! The prophet Zechariah clearly proclaimed that Jerusalem would become a cup of drunkenness, causing nations to stumble and hurt themselves. (Zechariah 12:2-3) We’re seeing that begin to play out.

I read this recently from an influencer whom I do not know and do not necessarily endorse. But she is dead on in this case:

No other war in the history of all wars was under such an international microscope, no other army had to behave so polite with their worst enemies, no other nation had to feed the criminals who murdered and kidnapped their own, no other military men were so indulgent with the savages who raped their women and burned alive their children and parents.  

No other country was ever more hated and contested for defending itself, no other people, form any country in the world were more harassed, insulted, punished, sanctioned, lied about, dehumanized by online supporters of terrorism and attacked and bombarded daily by bloody sick terrorists.  

No other country had more UN resolutions, no other country under attack by terrorists of all kinds and from all around its borders was ever named a "terrorist state" when defending its citizens.  No other set of military proofs about the terrorists' war crimes was more ignored by WHO and other official bodies. No other really occupied territory - like the North of Cyprus by Turkey or Crimea by Russia - ever flooded the streets or campuses with such an absurd and lame "activism" for a country they never ever care before October.  

No other women, from any nation or religion were more doubted or unsupported like the Israeli women. No other hostages, from any terrorist attack, were more ignored by public opinion, no other BABY in the world was kidnapped for 6 months now, in which time no UNICEF, no Red Cross, no Amnesty International...nobody even tweeted once about his release.  Welcome to Antisemitism, the new season. Produced by Iran and the radical Islamists from all over the world.

Meanwhile, the media is all up in arms over the accidental killing of aid workers by the IDF. To be clear: any death of innocent civilians is astoundingly sad and unfortunate. Investigations should be (and are) underway to determine 1. if it truly was the fault of the IDF, and 2. what went wrong and how can it be prevented. Death to innocents is horrible.

However, war is ugly and warzones are dangerous. Hamas hides amongst civilians, using them as human shields, and no military in the world has ever been as precise as the IDF in carrying out a battle plan while doing everything possible to protect innocent lives. I’m not saying those aid workers were Hamas sympathizers, but the vast majority of Palestinians in Gaza are. Even if the mistake was that of the IDF, be careful not to believe everything you hear. The circumstances will not be accurately portrayed by the media.

Also, it is true that protests are happening in Israel. Some want to unseat PM Netanyahu, and perhaps that is a legitimate discussion at some point. But Israel is in the middle of a war, and trusted sources on the ground report that Israel is more united now than ever when it comes to defeating Hamas. The protests going on are highly funded by radical groups from around the world who want to see Netanyahu taken down. Unfortunately, there is growing evidence that the current US administration may well be backing such actions. If so, it is just one more woe to America for the growing list of ways the White House (and those actually running the show) are turning their backs on Israel. It will not end well for us, in that case.

Remain vigilant, friends! God is still on the throne and we know how the story ends! Despite it all, Israel will not be destroyed. I leave you with this passage to consider:

³⁵ Thus says the Lord,
Who gives the sun for a light by day,
The ordinances of the moon and the stars for a light by night,
Who disturbs the sea,
And its waves roar
(The Lord of hosts is His name):

³⁶ “If those ordinances depart
From before Me, says the Lord,
Then the seed of Israel shall also cease
From being a nation before Me forever.”

Perhaps Israel’s enemies would be more successful if they exerted their energy toward keeping the sun, moon and stars from shining, because the land of Israel will exist until that is no longer the case! The God of Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps, but watches over His own! (Psalm 121:4)
