After yesterday’s visit to Misgav Am and Tel Dan, we journeyed to other sights on the Golan Heights including Caesarea Philippi (“Gates of Hell”), the Syrian border, and a stop at an olive processing factory producing wonderful olive oil and cosmetics. (The photo above is the infamous “Gates of Hell” from Caesarea Philippi.)
The lookout into Syria is always and interesting stop, as so much prophetic activity will occur there one day soon. It is the setting of the invasion Ezekiel 38-39 predicts. From the vantage point, one can see a UN encampment and a few cities in the distant. On a clear day at dusk, one might even see the glow of the lights of Damascus.
It was truly a remarkable day and I hope you enjoy this lookback…
I brought the Holy Bible with me there at Caesarea Philippi and took time out to read related scriptures right there.
