The theme of this morning’s post was to choose battles wisely. Ironically, just after posting it, I ran across Rep Brian Mast’s questioning of Biden administration officials regarding Hamas’ lies. The hearing took place in the US House of Representatives back in November 2023, only a month or so following the brutal attacks of October 7. It focused on the fact that it wasn’t solely Hamas militants who carried out the attack, but also “ordinary” men, women and children. Today, facts bear that out and so much more, making these arguments by Rep Mast even more powerful today than when they were spoken. Yet, just as Rep Mast stated, liberal media runs with whatever statistics and stories the Hamas-controlled United Nations and others propagate, and like sheep, citizens of the world are led astray.
Global pressure is being put on Israel for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip because of civilian casualties. Studies show that the ratio of loss of civilian lives to military lives is incredibly low when compared to other wars. Yet, world opinion, driven by Hamas’ lies and the media’s propagation, is pushing Israel to either back off in Gaza, or go down a lonely path of finishing the job without outside support.
Here is a man who has chosen his battle wisely and is revealing truth. Take a listen, then pray for Rep Mast and other Congressmen and Senators who stand with Israel. Pray also for those who do not stand with Israel. Blessings and curses are in the balance and our nation needs to stand in solidarity with Israel. Let’s pray for God to move, and for hearts and minds to be changed.
Bonus clip: Pastor Jack Hibbs is also a man choosing his battles wisely, including pleading for a change in heart and mind. On Tuesday, he opened Congress in prayer. Take special note of the exhortation of our leaders and his plea for God’s guidance as they lead our nation.
