How much faith do we put in our Almighty God of the universe? Do we simply give Him lip service when it comes to our trust in Him, or do we REALLY trust Him?
In times of dark days, those are challenging questions. Though we desire to embrace the power of the risen Lord in a dark place, we tend to be blinded by our own travails. All of us face dark seasons of life. Beyond that, we are also living in a season of global chaos and rampant evil. We need His sustaining power as much now as ever before. So, lean into this idea:
“The real battle is in prayer. The rest is just a mopping up operation.” When we take a step back and remember the greatness of our God, we better grasp the fact that the victory is in God’s hands, in the end. He is over all global events. When we pray to Him, we are wielding weapons in a spiritual battle that can change the world.
Do you believe that?
The enemy would love for believers to get so wrapped up in our own personal challenges that we have no time to lay hold of the weapons of spiritual battle that can change the world! When we’re absent from His presence, we lose sight of the greatness of our God. When we can’t see beyond our own troubles, we easily forget that victory over all global events is in His hands.
The quote above comes from an article that recently challenged the depth of my faith. It encouraged me to examine my own steadfastness in trusting God more fully and to fortify my own war room. I hope it encourages you in the same way! Enjoy!
