Do you believe in the providence of God? Do you believe God has a unique plan for each one of us? Do you believe nothing is a surprise to God? If yes, then we can be certain that, despite what is going on in the world, God is fully in control, has our best interest at heart, and is not surprised by anything.

Wouldn’t the perspective on life look much different if we truly embraced those truths? Suddenly, our own personal dilemmas would dim if we understood God has called us to difficult places for such a time that He needs us deployed. I am struck by those truths when I consider God’s faithfulness to Israel. 

Israeli soldiers and citizens alike are where they are for such a time as this. As believers, we are called to stand with Israel during such a time as this. If we desire for God to use us, we must surrender to Him and not fight against the setting He ordains for us. In the midst of trials, temptations and difficulties, God is at work, bringing us to deeper faith.
