Merry Christmas, dear friends! As we celebrate the birth of our Savior, it is important to consider the question, “Who is this Jesus?”
To those who know Him and abide in His presence each day, He is everything! He is the giver and sustainer of life and we cannot live without Him.
To those who have professed faith in Him but are distant, either willfully, unknowingly, or circumstantially, He is the strong tower we run back to. Friends, if that is you, what better time to return to Him than during this season when we remember that He came to earth to ultimately give His life for us. Please return!
To those who have never had a relationship with the Savior of the world, why not now? We must all answer the question, Who is this Jesus? He is many things, but first and foremost, He is a Savior and His greatest desire is to be Lord of your life. Not because He needs people to rule over, but because we need a Savior who has conquered death and is capable of saving us! We are sinners and cannot save ourselves, so our destiny is eternity in hell. (A real place filled only with darkness, evil, torment and death.)
But Jesus was born, lived a sinless life and was crucified on a cross to save us. He offers eternal life with Him in a real place called heaven. We cannot save ourselves, but His shed blood on the cross of Calvary was enough to purchase our salvation. Then, He rose from the dead, defeating death once and for all, for those who put their faith in Him. All we must do is call out to Him, admit we are sinners and ask Him to forgive us. Eternity is forever, and every one of us will spend it one place or the other.
Who is this Jesus? Get the answer correct by giving your life to Him today, and truly celebrating His birth tomorrow. You need Him, and He longs for you! His salvation is the greatest gift you will ever receive!
