Anti-Semitism has exploded in America and around the world. Every day there is news of another rally condoning the horrific attacks by Hamas while condemning Israel for following through on their vow to crush the demonic terrorist regime that threatens Israel’s existence. But really, the war is only the latest propaganda tool, as hatred for the Jewish people has existed for millennia and has grown increasingly louder since October 7.
More than ever, anti-Semitism is sweeping through the halls of Congress. “The Squad,” led by the likes of Ilhan Omar of Minnesota’s Muslim-populated 5th Congressional District, and Rashida Tliab, the Palestinian-descended representative of Michigan’s 12th District, also over-grown with ungrateful immigrants from Muslim countries. The Squad often calls for boycotts of Israel and, at times, dances right up to the edge of verbally calling for Israel’s literal annihilation. They do not hold true American values, and they show no appreciation for the nation who allowed their families to immigrate here.
US Representatives are elected every two years, providing opportunities for citizens to affirm candidates by voting them in for another term, or booting them out in favor of better representation. In 2024, Ilhan Omar will face a challenge from an Iraqi-born Muslim woman who actually does appreciate the opportunities given to her and her family in America. Dalia Al-Aqidi was a journalist in Iraq during the reign of ISIS terror. She knows first-hand how evil the Iranian terror proxies are, particularly when it comes to Israel and the US.
In a recent interview with CBN News in Israel, Al-Aqidi said this:
“I decided to come to Israel to show solidarity with Israelis, to show solidarity with the Jewish people, and to give a message, ‘You are not alone!’ You are suffering from the exact same illness and hatred that we Muslims have been suffering for ages, from radical Islamism and from terrorism.”
~Dalia Al-Aqidi, CBN News Interview, November 17, 2023 (Catch her interview at the 13:00 mark.)
Al-Aqidi is currently volunteering to help displaced Israelis, and she goes on to say the atrocities of ISIS and Al-Qaeda combined do not even compare with what Hamas did. She encourages good people around the world to fight this evil, and she reminds us that the innocent children of Gaza are not the victims of Israel, but the victims of Hamas and Islamic Jihad.
As one who clearly and distinctly confirms Israel’s right to defend herself, there is little doubt she stands on the side of blessing, rather than cursing. Today, though still Muslim, she wears both a cross and the Star of David, standing in unity with the values of Jews and Christians.
So, here is a unique way to bless Israel: please pray for Dalia Al-Aqidi in her effort to unseat the Jew-hating Ilhan Omar in the Congressional District deemed “ground zero for Anti-Semitism.” It would be a win for Israel, a win for the US, and a win for righteousness.
