Happy Sunday, friends!
Do you daydream? I do, and almost always about one of two things: Israel or the rapture. (And yes, I’ve daydreamed about the rapture happening while in Israel! Glorious!)
Let’s talk about the rapture for a moment. There seems to be confusion, even in Christian circles at times, about the rapture and the Second Coming. To clarify quickly, the rapture occurs prior to the tribulation. John 14:1-3 tells us that Jesus has gone to prepare a place for us and, when the time comes, He will descend from heaven and will snatch us (believers in Jesus) up into the clouds to be with Him.
Meanwhile, the tribulation will begin soon after the rapture and all hell will break loose on earth while we enjoy a 7-year banquet with our heavenly Bridegroom. Then, to put an end to the 7-year tribulation on earth, Jesus will return (and us with Him)! The Bible says His feet will touch down on the Mount of Olives and He will begin a 1,000-year reign on earth, known as the Millennium.
So, rapture of believers BEFORE the tribulation, and Second Coming of Christ AFTER the tribulation! Both are referenced in detail in the New Testament. But today, we’ll focus on the rapture. What will it be like? Take a listen, then daydream of that wonderful day!
