Visiting Israel is literally like walking through an ancient history book. Visiting places such as Tel Dan where Abraham traversed and Shechem where he reached the great tree of Moreh and offered sacrifices nearby bring the ancient patriarch’s journey into clearer understanding. Seeing the City of David where Israel’s most beloved king built his palace and ruled is like watching your Bible become alive. Looking out over the Jezreel Valley paints pictures in our minds of Elijah’s battle with the Baals and the coming gathering of armies at Armageddon.
But today, let’s focus on the Mount of Olives. Situated just across the Kidron Valley from the Old City, many think of the Mount of Olives as a single hill upon which significant events of the Bible took place. But really it is a range of three hills including Mount Scopus to the north, Mount of Olives in the center and the Mount of Scandal to the south. Each has its own significance mentioned in this video, if you’re interested.
However, if forced to boil it down to the most significant events related to the Mount of Olives, perhaps we would say Judas’ betrayal in the Garden of Gethsemane (as a past event) and the physical return of Jesus to that very place someday (as a future event). So much more happened there, but I can honestly say it is impossible for a Bible-loving follower of Christ Jesus not to be moved when you walk the slopes of that mount where Jesus walked…and where He will step foot once again.
The prophet Zechariah says:
4 And in that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives,
~Zechariah 14:4
Which faces Jerusalem on the east.
And the Mount of Olives shall be split in two,
From east to west,
Making a very large valley;
Half of the mountain shall move toward the north
And half of it toward the south.
Meditate on that truth and imagine standing, as we were in the photo below, upon the Mount of Olives looking across the Kidron Valley at Temple Mount. One day…split in two!

I can’t begin to describe the value of your Bible coming to life as you see and experience Israel. For that reason the Lord called me to take people there! Every person is unique and God speaks to each differently, but He has never failed to dramatically impact the lives of every single person who has ever joined us on a tour. It is far more than a sight-seeing adventure. It is a life-changing investment in your relationship with the Living God!
We offer top-quality tours at affordable cost because we cut out the unnecessary “fluff” and replace it with unique opportunities to experience Israel. We see the sights, but we also engage the culture in ways such as visiting Holocaust survivors, hanging out with IDF soldiers, and hearing from Arab, Palestinian and Messianic pastors doing incredible work in the Holy Land. We go into Samaria to see with our own eyes and hear with our own ears the evidence that Jews and Palestinians absolutely coexist peacefully. (It is factions bought and paid for by the Palestinian Authority and/or terrorist groups who stir the pot of unrest in Israel!)
Our next tour with open seats is February 2024 and you are invited! There are discounts available to help make it possible for families and groups of 4 or more to experience Israel together.
