Exploring Israel – The Final Week

Happy Lord’s Day, my friends! What a glorious day to wind up our study tour together, as we celebrate in real time, that which Jesus established on His resurrection day!

Some of the most impacting sights in all of Israel are those associated with the events leading up to Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection. From the Mount of Olives from where Jesus rode a donkey into the city to the cries of “Hosanna,” to the Garden of Gethsemane where Jesus was betrayed, to Caiaphas’ house where a fraudulent trial and imprisonment occurred, to Antonia Fortress where He was flogged and badly beaten, to Golgotha where He was crucified, and finally, the Garden Tomb where He was buried but rose again the third day. Each sight presents a different set of emotions. The trials, the heartache, the grief, the tragedy….but in the end, Jesus’ victory over the grave!

It is impossible to grasp the fulness of Jesus’ forgiveness and love for us, but it becomes so much more meaningful when you see the sights and imagine the drama that played out that week. We’ll share insights here, but invite you to join us on the journey.

Be blessed as you study and meditate.

We have boarded our bus for the final time and our time of departure draws near. We bid our bus driver and guide a final “Shalom,” but know it is only a “see you later!”

But, before we go, I’ve got one final surprise for you! It is a fitting way to say goodbye to Israel, so check back this afternoon for the finale!
