Joel Rosenberg’s New Book and Latest Message

Hi friends! If you follow, you’ve read many times that Israel, the church and the US are inextricably linked…at least for now. The truth of that principle becomes more and more obvious as time goes on. Since Israel’s rebirth in 1948, America has been Israel’s most faithful ally. Together, Israel, the church and the US are playing major roles in end time prophecy. How? The Bible reveals two witnesses of God: Israel (Isaiah 43:10) and the church (Acts 1:8). True, not everyone in America is a Christian (part of the church), and the church doesn’t exist only in America. But no other countries on planet earth (besides Israel and the US) were founded upon Biblical principles, and none have caused God’s name to be known far and wide as those two have.

That is the short answer why Israel, the church and America are currently inextricably linked. That is also why it is urgent that we understand the times and seasons in which we live! As apostasy creeps into the church, and as the US begins to distance itself from Israel, the stage is being set for the day Israel will stand alone. Ezekiel’s prophecy (chapters 38-39) describes an end time event when Israel will be attacked and no earthly nation or kingdom will come to her side. We are approaching that time.

Jesus Himself rebuked His followers for not discerning the time and season in which they lived. (His first coming.) I believe He gives us the same rebuke regarding His second coming. Here is what Jesus said in Luke 12:54-56:

54 And He was also saying to the crowds, “Whenever you see a cloud rising in the west, you immediately say, ‘A shower is coming,’ and so it turns out. 55 And whenever you feel a south wind blowing, you say, ‘It will be a hot day,’ and it turns out that way. 56 You hypocrites! You know how to analyze the appearance of the earth and the sky, but how is it that you do not know how to analyze this present time?

Now, with that as the background, pick up Joel Rosenberg’s recent remarks at Prestonwood Baptist Church in Dallas, beginning at the 42:15 mark.

Indeed, we must discern the time and season in which we live, and though our nation eventually will, we believers must never turn our backs on Israel.

Finally, Joel referenced his newest book, Enemies and Allies, which I read last weekend. For those interested in hearing first-hand commentary and warnings of the time and season in which we live, this is a must read. It is intriguing, educational and very revealing, and when overlaid upon what we see in the world today, it should cause us all to lift our heads and look up because our redemption draws near (Luke 21:28)!
