Celebrating the Lord’s Day is profound this time of year, as we look toward the advent of our Lord and Savior. It brings imagery of the Savior’s birth in Bethlehem. But do you realize our series, Back to Beit Lehem, involves that same place? Bethlehem (Beit Lehem, transliterated from Hebrew) means House of Bread, and we see the Bread of Life clearly in the birth account of Jesus, as well as the story of Ruth and Naomi.
It is Ruth and Naomi’s story that serve as the basis of our series. Focusing on reconciliation between Jews and Arabs, we are following the story of modern-day Jewish and Arab women as they discuss how they were reconciled, not only to one another, but as a picture of what is possible between their peoples.
This is episode 6, but you will find previous episodes here:
- Episode 1: The Pathway
- Episode 2: “You Look Like Ruth!”
- Episode 3: The Wound
- Episode 4: Balm and Tears
- Episode 5: Hidden Faces
Very moving, so settle in and enjoy!
Merry Christmas, dear friends!
