Sorry for the late notice, but I just learned that Anne Frank’s stepsister, Eva Schloss, will be at Chandler Center for the Arts tomorrow night (March 13, 2019) at 7:00pm. There is a cost to this event, but it may be worth it to those who are interested in Holocaust history from a Jewish perspective. (Learn more here.)
You’ve probably read (or at least heard of) The Diary of Anne Frank, written while in hiding for two years from the Nazis.
In 2015, while attending a Christian Leaders Seminar in Jerusalem, I had the incredible privilege to hear Hannah Pick, childhood friend of Anne Frank, describe the fascinating details of a young, adventurous young Jewish-Dutch girl who didn’t really “fit the mold” of the typical Jewish lass. Hannah also reminisced about hearing that Anne and her family had moved to Switzerland, only to re-connect with her at the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp. The Frank’s had not at all moved to Switzerland. The Nazis had apprehended them. Hannah made it out…Anne did not.
Now, an excellent opportunity to hear from Anne’s stepsister. Hope to see you there!
Wow, that would be great to see! Thanks.
