Franklin Graham Announces Convention Prayer Events

“Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.” —1 Timothy 2:1-2

For those of you following the Decision America Tour, you may be aware of Franklin Graham’s call to prayer on the first day of the Republican and Democratic National Conventions. (The first is a week from today.)  As Franklin travels to every state capital in the nation, encouraging Americans to live out their faith at home, in public and at the ballot box, he has also led the prayer charge for our nation.

As this election cycle advances, many of us are frustrated and disappointed in the sheer lack of Godly quality in our candidates.  America is at a crossroads, yet we are seemingly left with no good choices in our nation’s highest political office.  Franklin is now reminding us that “Walls can be rebuilt. Gates can be rehung. The impossible can take place when God is in it and God’s people pray.”

Indeed, our God is still on His throne…yet longing to hear from us.  Perhaps you have been on the “prayer wagon” for a long time.  Great job…stay on that wagon!  Often, we get on the wagon, but are dragged off either by the cares of the day or the busy lives we live.  Grace reigns!  Jump back on the wagon!  For some, you want to be a prayer warrior, but “don’t know how.”  Friends, prayer is nothing more than a personal conversation with our Heavenly Father.  Talk to Him as you would a loving father.

For each of us:  let’s get into His Word, then pray it back to Him!  God honors prayers according to His will, and His will is clearly given to us in His Word!

There has never been a time in history exactly like this.  Our world is under siege by none other than the forces of darkness…Satan and his followers.  Our nation has turned its back on God and anything that represents Him.  Darkness is invading and the only remedy is to shine the Light!

Please commit to pray with Franklin Graham and thousands of others across our land.  Details about the convention prayer events can be found here.

Meet you at the foot of the cross!
