
Welcome back friends! Yesterday was International Holocaust Remembrance Day and we have spent the past few days preparing for and commemorating that day.
On Sunday, we put faces to the Holocaust by highlighting intriguing stories of Holocaust survivors. We followed that up by putting the Holocaust in context and answering the question, “What is the Holocaust?” Tuesday’s post focused on how experts came to estimate the number of Jewish casualties at 6 million. On top of that foundational information, we commemorated International Holocaust Remembrance Day yesterday by sneaking a peak at a commemoration service at Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum in Israel.
Today, let’s shift focus from the Holocaust to Antisemitism. Exactly what is Antisemitism, how has it manifested itself in the past, and is there carry-over to the present? I’ll allow the experts to answer those questions:
